The Case of Joe the Jerk 

In this brief paper, I display my critical thinking skills by using several different methods as to why people act a certain way and what can be done to make an individual more productive and efficient in the workplace. I analyze a case of an assistant module manager (Joe) that is very capable of achieving more however, his attitude continuously gets in his way.  I identify the problem, analyze what could be causing these problems, and ultimately decide on how to correct Joe's poor behavior.

Effects of Policing on the Mind

This artifact discusses the importance of providing police officers with mental health treatment and services. I discuss how the daily stressors of policing can negatively affect officers, eventually leaving them at risk of developing PTSD, anxiety, and substance abuse problems, among other things. This shows how I am able to analyze policing in today’s world and give suggestions as to what must be changed. 

Article: In Beijing, the Subject on Everybody’s Mind but Not Lips

This paper is an in-depth analysis of how governments can manipulate technology to benefit them. This paper discusses how the 2022 Winter Olympics in China forced athletes who wanted to compete to stay silent about controversies surrounding China at the time. This shows my ability to understand how technology has brought us many innovations as well as how it can be harmful or have negative consequences when used inappropriately or when censored.
