My Background
Personal Profile
I have been a police officer in the state of New Jersey for the past seven years. I started off at Rutgers-Newark and am now in a small town in Bergen County. While pursuing my undergraduate degree at Rutgers University-Newark, I was given the incredible opportunity to become a police officer for the university in 2016. Of course, this came along with some challenges, I had to put my degree on hold in order to go to the police academy while I was in my final semester of school. The police academy helped me become the person and officer that I am today. After graduating from the police academy I was determined to finish my degree and immediately went back to school, obtaining my Bachelor of Science in 2017.

After several years of being a police officer, I realized that there were many things that needed to change within policing. I had to be the one to act. My goal with my master's is to be able to contribute to the policy process and implement mental health policies to help officers cope with the stressors of the job which, in turn, will also benefit the communities they serve.
My mission is to make a difference in the field of policing. I want to make sure that the communities I serve have the best possible experience and that police officers are held accountable for their actions.
I'm committed to raising awareness and pushing for reforms that prioritize public safety, accountability, and transparency.
